The BJP has opted for Professor Sumer Singh Solanki — a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) man who has been active in the state’s tribal belt for years besides working as an assistant professor at a government college in Barwani, one of the tribal-dominated districts of the region.
